Financial Partnership: Collaborate with Manufacturing and Operations teams to investigate cost drivers, refine costing systems for accurate product costing, and enhance overall profitability.
Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to improve manufacturing cost efficiencies by preparing and presenting timely analyses of business results and trends, aligning monthly and yearly performance against budget, and driving initiatives to eliminate inefficiencies.
Profitability Enhancement: Work with stakeholders to identify and reduce manufacturing scrap costs by developing and disseminating financial information that supports informed decision-making.
Variance Analysis: Analyze production variances, identify root causes, and develop solutions. Perform related balance sheet reconciliations and report findings to Finance and Operations management.
Support Business Growth: Provide detailed margin analysis by customer, product line, and market to support existing and new product/service offerings, aiding in business development and growth.
Product Costing Development: Collaborate cross-functionally to establish best practices in standard costing and manufacturing accounting operations, ensuring accurate inventory valuations through effective system set-ups and costing methodologies.
Regulatory Compliance and Reporting: Ensure timely preparation, filing, and support of month-end, quarterly, and year-end financial statements. Support related audits, inventory provisions, and budget/forecast processes, particularly concerning cost of goods sold and associated account balances.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
Advanced Excel skills are essential, along with significant experience in ERP systems (JD Edwards Enterprise-1 preferred). Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence and drive initiatives through persuasion and proactive efforts.
